2. Services Offered

SCS Excavation Concepts LLC provides excavation, trenching, grading, drainage, septic repair, land clearing, and related earth-moving services. Service requests submitted through this website are not binding contracts but requests for consultation or quotation. All work performed will be governed by a written estimate, work agreement, or invoice.

 

3. Estimates and Scope of Work

Estimates are based on the information available at the time of inspection. Because excavation involves underground conditions that cannot always be predicted, the final scope of work may change due to buried rock, soil instability, groundwater, unknown underground utilities, previously installed structures, or environmental conditions. Additional work required to address such conditions may result in additional charges.

 

4. Site Access and Property Conditions

The customer is responsible for ensuring legal access to the property, accurate property boundaries, safe working conditions, and removal of obstacles when possible. SCS Excavation Concepts LLC is not responsible for disputes regarding property lines, access rights, or easements.

 

5. Utility Location Responsibility

Customers must ensure underground utilities are properly identified prior to excavation. Utility marking services such as New York 811 (UDig NY) may be used; however, SCS Excavation Concepts LLC is not responsible for damage to utilities that were not properly marked, improperly installed, inaccurately located, or privately installed without documentation.

 

6. Weather and Site Conditions

Excavation work may be delayed due to severe weather, excessive moisture, frozen ground, or unsafe site conditions. Work schedules may be adjusted accordingly to maintain safety and quality of work.

 

7. Equipment Access

Excavation equipment requires sufficient space and stable ground conditions. Customers are responsible for ensuring legal access to the property, removal of obstacles when possible, and adequate clearance for equipment operation. Restoration or relocation of obstacles is not included unless specifically outlined in a written estimate.

 

8. Unknown Rock Clause

Excavation estimates are based on normal soil conditions. If subsurface rock, ledge, or other hard material is encountered that cannot be removed using standard excavation equipment, additional equipment, labor, or methods may be required. Any additional work required to remove such materials may result in additional charges beyond the original estimate.

 

9. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be outlined in the service estimate or invoice. Accepted payment methods may include check, cash, PayPal, or credit/debit card through PayPal processing. Invoices not paid according to the agreed terms may be subject to late fees, collection costs, or suspension of services.
